Are setup files allowed?

Are setup files allowed to be uploaded? I searched, but couldn't find any answers.

A setup file for a program of your own or a cracked program/pirated software?

For your own releases, we prefer the actual files.

It's my own release, but I want to protect my IP and the morass of files would be confusing for someone who didn't know what they were doing, so it seemed easier to use a setup file.

You can. Just as long as it still meets all the requirements and doesn't download anything from the internet
