I think this smoke is not needed, but complete project is very nice 
I see no point in giving critique to someone who doesn't listen, and refuses to improve based off of what we give him. Trying to help you is a lost cause.

Acting high mighty and above reproach doesn't help you improve;
I was stuck at the same level for 2 years.. simply because I couldn't take criticism, as I thought it was an attack on my abilities...
And now the Advice;
Calm down, and when just mess around with what they suggest; It doesn't have to be now, it doesn't have to be in 5 minutes an hour or even the same week; Messing around with suggestions gets you places. Now just calm down;
Critique;
It seems that you revert back to habit; Such as 'copy/paste/repeat', 'Lets be original but do the same thing' and 'My art's pretty good I don't need advice'
I'm not a pro myself but what I suggest is to read a tutorial or two (believe me it helps even if you don't learn how to do that effect) and try to apply what you've learned to what you try to make next(In moderation as too much of one thing can crush many others hindering progression drastically)

The smoke is completely unnecessary! If you were creating a banner for the teamspeak etc I would throw in a bg with the logo. Also is it me or is the skull pixelly.
I would try resizing it and just making it fit would make it 2 times better!
Also the smoke layer looks like a copy and pasted layer.
