Anyone else hyped or at least looking forward to this? So happy that the kickstarter surpassed the necessary amount by a long shot. And yes, I'm late by far on this news but still.

Eh. I'm kinda 50/50 on expectations. The trailer wow'ed me at first, but re-watching it......it looks pretty "meh".

Watched the trailer a few times and I'm still not sure what to think. I'm not sure how/why or what, but requiring donations for a movie...Just feels odd. I've never heard of it.

It's an episode, they were donated 890k and they needed 1 million and something to get another episode. It happens all the time on Kickstarter, a lot of visual novels are funded on Kickstarter.

They did the kickstarter because they felt that if they had made the anime normally, it wouldn't have been successful with distributors because the storyline is tragic, so they wanted to do it "independently?" - not sure if right word.
Also not sure if true, but I heard that they already had the set 26 episodes predetermined and just needed the funding. Also might have a movie for it as well, but still not completely sure about this.
