Has anyone seen this anime? It's made by KEY. The same people that produced Clannad / Clannad After Story / Air. So you know its going to be good.
It's 13 episodes at the moment but there is talk of a second season.
It's about a bunch of people that are dead, but they have all had a crappy youth and are stuck in a sort of 'limbo' where they must resit their senior high school year in order to 'graduate' and move on.
The SSS (Shinda Sekai Sensen) or the "battlefront" is a group that fights against god as payback for the cruel fates they all experienced in their life. Their mission is to not pass on, but to eventually seek out god and question their crap lives.
Their enemy is a girl named "Angel" who the SSS believe is an angel sent by god to keep the world of limbo in order, the SSS devote their time to fighting her, Angel has supernatural powers, she can spawn swords from her hand and has incredible strength. But when they find out she is not sent by god, what will be made of the battlefront?
There is a fair bit of action, guns and a good storyline (If you've watched Clannad then you know you'll be pretty sad in a few of these episodes)
It's available in japanese / english sub or an english dub done by key (which retains some of the english Clannad voice actors)

I actually just added this to my "To Watch" List. Probably going to watch it tonight.
Very emotional and a good anime, i wish i got into anime sooner.
I enjoyed it. Though about halfway through i believe that it could have been made into something more grand.
Really sad i guess, but thats kinda how the company rolls.

Kinda old but worth to watch it for sure, great plot and art work too.

Loved that "get hyped" episode. The one that they have to do everything EXTREME, funny as hell. Oh and sad ending :/

Its probably because I had just woken up, but I cried for about 10 minutes at the end :/
The last episode was just super emotional & depressing.

The episode when SSS had to sabotage Tenshi's test. But when they needed to cause a distraction and failed oh-so-hard. They were launched into the ceiling. Probably because it was 5 A.M. and i was dead-beat tired and I just needed a good laugh. But i think that was the funniest part of the series.
