This method does still work with guns for me. I over half the guns i use all near 100 RoF so now people complain my degale is faster then their M16A3..... i also made my Tar21 Camo a minigun at speed and it pissed off people as well.
If it crashed cause you made it a rez file then make a Texturescripts.rez FOLDER place a new folder in it example GUNS_M_PV_AR and then place the newly edited files in here and override anything it asks.... the only issues im facing is my knives never melee faster but all guns are like hell to control but learned how now i got a M107CQ SE minigun sure only 5 shots to a reload but when i pull trigger it makes people piss themselves
posted this just cause you think it may be patched AVGN.... maybe i can start to make releases of just guns firing faster then people take that work and make it textured work <---(I fail at texturing[atempted just a red tiger... it came out grey square])

when i change the RoF or anything, it works, but the model is all distorted (you can only see a distorted arm that covers where the gun is)
