ES Farming: Data and Time(s)

there are some notions around the forum that there may
be an ideal time to farm enchant scrolls. short of having
everyone bot-farm a specific boat for 24hrs it would be
near impossible to actually obtain factual data. some other
threads on here have members mentioning having 'bad luck'
followed by the inevitable replies from other members saying
they obtained said ES in the first or second try. im not here
to argue the correlation of luck to drop rate; im here to
collate as much information as possible concerning ES farming.
since coming to this forum and learning how to use the botz,
i can attest to this 'bad luck'. for nearly a week, i obtained
two impending and one two berserker playing ludicrous amounts
of boats that supposedly dropped R9 scrolls. the amount of
bot-farming probably accounted up to 8hrs a day. then this
morning around 4am. valor dropped for me from trampled plains
on the first few runs. i would say less than 10. it also enchanted
at 55%... i would venture this hypothesis:

ES drops are based on time and/or server load. [maybe?]

it would be nice to gather data on times that ARE NOT successful too.
ive never obtained maelstrom. if someone could post their data thatd be
great and if there is enough data, perhaps a decent time-map of what to
play and when could be formed.

addendum: please refrain from mentioning that [scroll] drops
for you after [x-amount] runs and that if you just used [trick]
that it would work. the point was to gather all the data to
see if the frequency of rare drops correlated to a specific time.

it has been my experience that it does. not that i dont believe
other members but showing [and taking the effort] to collect
the data is more convinving [and helpful] to those of us
whom are inflicted with 'bad luck'.

you're going to need 1000s of examples to draw conclusions about it being affected by times and such.

I still think it's completely random chance. like set an item drop rate as 0.5% and so it might on average drop once out of 200 runs. you might get it on the 1st run, or you might not get it even on 400 runs - the chance resets on each run. I do think they lowered the rate of some of the rarer scrolls since the last patch. ;_;

here's some info to make you feel better then xD

Pre-patch
Regrets - 60 something runs - 12ampst-8am pst - 1 bloodlust
Regrets - 40ish runs - 11am pst-8pm pst - 1 bloodlust

Post-patch
aug. 22nd - regrets 220+ runs 2am-9ampst - 0 drop
aug. 23rd - regrets 250+ runs 12am-8ampst - 1 bloodlust

I don't watch the bot when it's running, so I have no idea what exact time it drops. I just find it in my mailbox sorting through like a 1000+ mails later, and so only know the time range xD

my luck is terrible too, i've only ever farmed for bloodlust, and have gotten a total of 3 (all 3 failed).
so say what you will about your luck, mine should make you feel like a jackpot winner.

as far as I know, tat's the only place to farm bloodlust though right? tat's what everyone has told me... do you know of any other map dropping bloodlust? if so, lemme know!!!! at the rate my luck is going, it's going to take me a year to get a bloodlust to stick on my staff. xD

my list [and the lists on here also] convey that its Regrets and Counter
Attack for Bloodlust. so really just regrets unless you can adjust the timers
for Counter Attack as i have no bots capable of it. its like 6min multi-boss spawn time, no?

also, i cant seem to remember where, but there was a discussion about
not farming bloodlust due to its rarity and that Valor was a better option
due to its availability/obtainability? and higher Balance [supposedly more
important] which i know nothing about really. i do know that balance caps
at 90, so it makes me not really care about Dominance.

i fail-burned a Berserker earlier last week. although not a spectacular scroll,
the time spent farming it has put me in quite a mood. i can not fathom
going through two more. i have it in my mind, if i ever do obtain this coveted
maelstrom and fail-burn it... ill probably end up rageQuitting and mailing all
my crap to the first person i see [in game].

It's probably about a 10% droprate on Illusion, so 10 runs doesn't really do much. I did it for a few hours and I even saw one double drop when I looked at the screen, and I ended up getting 6 in those few hours.

lets see, i've farmed about 6 hours every night for the few nights, same times and got roughly the same drops.
ran "the contract" from 10:30 p.m. or 11:00 pm to about 6:00 A.M. or 8:00 A.M. one time as late as 10:30 a.m.

each night i have gotten one force, one sentinel and one night i got 2 intense.
I got in 130-140 runs each night. I'ma run it again tonight and i'll post what/if i get anything

Don't do this.
Do NOT post a result like this, saying that 1 in 2 runs will get you an ornate. Of course, you can get one on any given run. But posting something like this only leads to people who can't think for themselves replying with:
"i dun 4 runs adn i no get any ornaet scrol! U LIER!"

Okay, so maybe I'm exaggerating a bit. But many people take everything they read online as undeniable truth. So saying that it drops 1 in 2, just no.

Say it dropped on your second run, or something.
