Will there be new bots after the rework of AQW?

Is the community still going to try and find ways of creating a new bot? I would love to know since I may comeback again as I still have few accounts to use.

The real answer is nobody knows, we don't know what it will end up like. But I'm sure that some people will still try.
What confuses me is how the update was meant to happen in March

Personally, I don't think anything much will happen to prevent bots. They'll improve the game, but anti-botting is always the last thing on their list. It's become as much a part of the game as anything else.

Anti-cell hop functoin, changing ALL the code to server-sided functionality, etc will pretty much eliminate bots right now.
In the future generation of botting, it's really possible, but it'll require more work and time, lol, and AQW just isn't
the game you want to spend THAT much time on just for a bot. Unless you're a programmer freak, then yea.
Honestly, I think they'll be a few good releases and they'll improve as time goes. Just my personal preference.

You don't have to be a programming freak to figure out everything that's already been done. It's really not hard for someone like oliboli or jamesro to remake everything.

Players still have to communicate with the server, it's very unlikely that there's going to be no way at all to manipulate that
Anyway, I'm not coding for AQW anymore, I'll stick with PS.

I can't see AE completely killing botting as botters are more than half their player base.

Let's be frank, if they hardcoded the quest locations(like they did with the shops), they would render 99.99% of all bots pointless. But do they have the time/are willing to go through the thousands of already released quests and change them? They could probably automate the job, but still...

Botters = players. Players = money. Money = good business.

Dunno, depends on the extent of such "rework" - I don't get why they'll waste time recoding the game from scratch, the playerbase is at an all-time low(8k people during releases... Used to 30k a few years ago), the game probably has 1 or 2 years of life, tops.

Yeah honestly AQ3D is a waste of time aswell... The whole point of AE games is they are unique and AQ3D feels to much likr a knockoff of popular MMO's. I also believe the reason they are pushing the rework is they are put so many hours into it they just decided to get it over with.

AE's shift to Unity is a smart idea in my opinion. Despite my love for Flash, it is inevitably a dying platform. I agree AQ3D wasn't the biggest success, but they definitely should be trying new things if they want to continue as a business.
