Learning to code, where to start?

Good Day!

I loved programming in college and I wanna get back into the swing of things by putting in some hard work to code a simple ESP hack for rust. I don't care for aim bot or any other hack just ESP. If anyone could please help me with some pointers to get started I would be forever in your debt.

What programming language is used?
Where do I start?
Is there a comprehensive forum post that goes over all of this?
How long did it take you to code a stable and (mostly) undetectable ESP hack?

checkout the programming section of this forum, look up some olly dbg and ida tutorials to get familiar with it, and look at other peoples source code for any game.
