Can't load maps in private server

Hey guys. I have just recently tried to load up a private server again. I tried about half a year ago but had the same issue, and this time I am asking for help.

After following the instructions on krazyserver's private server system, I manage to login as admin on the server, and as I attempt to load into nexus, it just shows connected in the bottom corner, and the screen stays black. it doesn't even display my character or the nexus text in the middle of the screen.

I tried making my own little map and test running it, same issue. It didn't display the name of the map and stayed black. Please help
