    Lightbulb Bypassing the teleport Cool down in realms

    I'm just curious on how that works, why can't a hack or why can't cheat engine or something bypass the cool down for realms it would be a great help if someone could explain this to me.

    Because now when you teleport, you tell server: "hey can i teleport now?" And server either answers "yes" and then you teleport OR it answers "i see in my database that you haven't waited 180 secs yet, so no, you can't teleport now". Since you cant change server timer, you can't cange teleport timer itself. Its all serversided.

    So are you saying that when they first introduced the delay it was all client sided but they've changed it to server sided now? And I believe it's 120 secs not 180

    No, it was a simple exploit serverside. The server counted the clientside feature to teleport towards the delay but I suppose it didn't work towards the typed out command

    You can't bypass the teleport delay because it is all serverside counting and sending packets from your client or someshit like that
    im not really back nor will i ever get back into developing pservers
    though ill check once every month atleast

    Ah ok, apparently in the old orape clients there was a tp delay hack? Don't remember if it worked or not but yeah they either patched it or it isn't in the newest version

    Exactly. But in theory the only way to hack or crack the wait time would be by getting into the database. So xD, unless your an experienced hacker and want to spend a lot of time I don't recommend spending to much time trying.

    1st of all, there is a difference between the player database and the tp delay which we dont know how its stored, and it could be stored in a list of players in the memory which would make more sense than a "database" (a file).

    How would you hack decas server memory to manipulate the tp delay? How would you access decas memory in the first place? It's like a client accessing wserver.exe in pservers from his own computer. It can't happen, unless if the owner explicitly allows him to.

    Also, swatsecone didn't "hax his way thru to decas server" he just got access to an admin account and did all the stuff from there.

    Even bigger question, if you could hack deca's database, why on earth would you bother hacking the teleport delay? That's peanuts.

    Honestly, they probably don't have their DB accessable by every IP-address so even if you knew the username and password, you wouldn't be able to get in.
