Depends on which carrier version the phone is and also what android version f/w its running.
But try https://towelroo*****m/
If not, you must manually root.

if towelroot doesn't help, head over to the xda developer forums - it's the most comprehensive location online for phone rooting and modification. (the bulk of roots originate there)

PC roots are the most reliable now. One tap roots generally do not work these days.
