After some research I found out that the .txt files found in Attributes.rez would be simple to edit. However decoding an encrypted file is next to impossible. So instead I was wondering if it would be possible to delete say DAMAGETYPES.txt before the next patch then while CA is patching that file, access it and maybe it won't be encrypted, or at least through the patching process. Therefore allowing us to change it. Just a thought please don't rip me apart to badly

Probly impossible since when Nexon patches, the files are not in .Rez format. (After they patch it, they encrypt it, seal it, and convert it to .Rez file.)<Theory

Yeah you've got a point there I forgot about that. Would it be possible to see what the engine is doing in the background, like what commands it's giving because most text encrypters require a password to reverse the encryption.

If ATTRIBUTES.REZ is modified, you would be disconnected and would not be able to play with other players.
