I never said anything implied in the picture. I just implied that it looks like the earth might not be habitable in the future so there's no point going...
Obviously the quality of life in the past century is the best in history and probably will be for the next one as well. But if we're talking past you usually think thousands or hundreds of years ago and same for the future. In that case there would be alot of interesting things to learn and alot of secrets to uncover about past events. Maybe even the origins of humanity, the missing link, etc...

Past seems cool. I probs would get killed, with plenty of women & men watching me drowning, because of them thinking that I am a witch.
On the other side, solving mysteries that are still unclear to me just as JTK & JFK would be mind blowing.

Or being the smart kid I am: Buying me a few Sherlock Holmes and releasing them myself instead. That would make me the father of fan clubs, adaptions & my favorite anime. As an extra I would get insanely rich.

Imagine travelling back in time, flexing with a Tesla and iPhone and when everybody is convinced that you came from the future just tell em that there won't be flying cars in the future but Furries and people that change their gender or getting disabled by choice.

I'd travel into the past. First of all, because I already know about it, it begets the opportune "back to the future" moment where I can literally win every sports bet, prediction etc. and amass a fortune. Furthermore, if I travel even further back in time I can use my knowledge of the future for my benefit at every twist and turn whether it be creating new inventions for the less advanced human society or using my superior intellect to rule over the troglodytes of the prehistoric period.

Additionally, if I had the ability to travel to the past I could go use MPGH when the IM was fully functioning.

If my actions in the past are able to influence my present, which, of course for me would be the future because I am currently in the past, then I would prefer to travel to the past.

Just think about it, I am able to go to the past, then using my actions in the past, I am able to influence my future. I am also able to influence other peoples past. I am also able to influence the future people's present. I am also able to other my own present, past and future.

So past, 100%.
