I don't understand what the point of this is, it's all well and good to say "ooga booga rich people buy expensive thing", but if the only plan for this thing is for some small minority of people to purchase it then apple is out of their minds. I can not see any way in which this could be a sound business and financial decision, in which most people would be barely able to afford even the lowest spec model. Given all the design, work and build hours that would have gone into building something like this, surely you wouldn't want the majority of your current customer base not even to have a chance at affording one of the mid to high specification models.

Unless I'm missing something and apple has suddenly decided they want to start to compete with cisco and make their own enterprise-level servers.
