Don't worries, i use engine.ini wallhack since November 2019 and all good, its a config file, they can't detect, but what they can do is patch it.
But 0% ban chance.
Download this engine https://www.mpgh.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1468919 not mine btw.
1- go to C:\Users\Name\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\C onfig\WindowsNoEditor
2- put only the engine.ini file there.
3- right click, properties, dis mark the box "read only"
4- open the engine.ini with the notepad and add r.ViewDistanceScale=(number) i recommend putting 0.20, the lower the number is, more wall hack
(0.05 super wallhack, 0.50 normal vision)
5-save it, go to engine.ini's properties again and mark the read only box
6-open config installer, mark SSL Bypass box, choose the engine file that u just edited, install.
7-Be happy

You need an SSL bypass to use fiddler. Do some research urself,won't hurt ya.

Oh, so I don't need ssl bypass if I just want to make my engine.ini work (no FOV or wallhack, just lines to improve performance)?
Am a noob and trying to do own research feels like searching a needle in hay :/

Yes, just put your Engine.ini into Save installer and press Install config. That's enough

Also, would be a good idea to keep the original pakfile in the folder and then quickly switch it out with the modded pak file After EAC loading screen finished? Or does it make no difference?

1. Download and unrar the archive. Start the program.
2. Choose your Engine.ini
3. (Optional) Put the checkbox on "SSL Bypass" if u need it
3.1 (Optional) Put the checkbox on "Python method" if u want to use python method like this
4. Click "Install config" and wait until the program finishes work.
Done

Only Engine.ini can be installed.

At any time, you can delete the config and return the files to their original state by clicking "Uninstall"

Still working for hotfix patch 4.0.2?

I checked the pak files after the update and a lot of them got updated. However pakchunk1-WindowsNoEditor.pak and 16 other pak files were not updates. Can you check out of its still safe to use?

Change the value to 0.40 or higher until it gets nice to you.
