MW2 PC Chat Feed Removal

The title says it all - Is there a way of removing the chat feed from the game?

I'll be honest, I have made friends through it now and again (But very rarely) Otherwise it's just a constant source of rage and insults from mindless morons who can't quite accept they died. If I want to chat while playing i'll use Steam to talk with my friends :P

So, yeah, is there a way? Any insight would be much appreciated!

As long as you have the original I don't think you can do anything about it, but the people around here might know more than I do.
