Hypothetical: how should you feel about this transaction

Say a seller had a thread

“Bose qc35 for $250 btc”
You look and the thread was bumped one hour ago by the thread owner

Question 1: would you assume this is the current price because they thread owner just bumped the thread with this price 1 hour ago?

Continue.. so you go to a btc exchange and pay $275 for $250.
You then IM the thread starter and they say “I want $300 now”. You reply “ the thread says $250” then he just said “I forgot to update it when I bumped it an hour ago”

So now you’re stuck with $250 btc that you paid $275 only to purchase the Bose from him. How do you feel about this situation?

A) scammed, it’s a classic bait and switch scam. Car dealers been doing this since 1940
B) it’s not a “scam” but I’d FEEL scammed, it’s definitely grimy though
C) it’s not dirty at all, people forget things just because you lost money doesn’t mean he can’t forget
D) I don’t know

And if you were the seller you’d

A) honor the price of $250 since you forgot
B) still charge $300 but point him to a free exchange
C) charge $300 still and he’s on his own to find the extra btc?

Btw, this is totally hypothetical and made up and nothing like this happened

I think you read this incorrectly. The ad said $250. I didn’t read twice, I read 6x and it still said $250
Assume what may I ask? There was no assuming, the ad said $250. I didn’t assume $250, the ad said $250.
On confirming 2x, I understand that. As someone with a voice maybe you could make a suggestion to add a tos. “Ads prices are just for play” or something similar.

Now for the second part because you sell. If I go to your thread right now and you quote “x for x price” how much do you put your name behind that. PERSONALLY. Not anyone else, you. Do you make it a priority to reflect your current prices on YOUR business or is it whatever, “I change it when I feel like it”

i don't trust what I see from an AD since they are made to get attention.

let give you an example of what is AD

I use myself as it looks at my thread can see most of the stuff i have has the price tag on them
look at the title and read the thread it states from 1month to 3 year
so people add me and ask me for it some assume the price tag of 1$ is for a 3-year account or all of the accounts.

so AD tag of 1$ will make the customer add you
you send them a list of full-price there some want higher some don't
some dont even read it .

so before sending my wallet if they say a warranty i again send price of total for them

Not scammed, not really that grimey either. I think we forget that MPGH sellers arent a big company that have to honor printed advertisements nor provide over the top customer service. Seller didnt fail to deliver a product and the BTC can be used for many other things.

people are constantly updating pricing in comments, thread design changes take longer, most you could really do is report the persons post to have title updated to most recent price posted by OP
