Uh.

Well, pretty much depressed. Cause at any point in time, could be within this month, next month, who really knows, that I'll be fired from my current workplace, what's even worse is that they are using my physical weakness caused by my disability as a reason to fire me, and they even asked me to contact medical professional, so they write me a paper which essentially disallowed me to work in such conditions, or area of expertise. However one thing they are forgetting is the fact that since I'm an Estonian citizens, there are some laws regulated around this where the employee could face horrendous actions. There are ways to combat the whole situation, but for the past 3 days, I've been home and I've in all honesty have not tried to focus on work too much, even though I should of had made some calls.

aww buddy I am really sorry that sounds like such a horrible situaion to be in! what sort of work are you doing at the moment and what is is the disability they are discriminating against?

If they offer good severance might be worth dipping and putting it in your past and finding a new place to work with better culture! If they don't, might be worth taking the legal route to try and attain compensation for unfair dismissal...

I work at a supermarket where I put out content on the shelves, so people could buy them. I have a Klippel-Feil Syndrome, a very minor case compared to other individuals who have the same syndrome that I have, and not to mention I recently had a bicycle crash with another bicyclist, and my right hand pinky was caught, it's still swelling, which makes it hard to grip things properly. The work culture overall is understanding and accepting of the fact, it's just the said supermarket bosses that are quite dick about it. And when it comes to legal action, I do have one in mind, while it isn't necessarily through a lawyer or anything like that, but its through labor inspection, and due to "legal" laws (I assume its legal law, because it's part of the government website of ours), where it specifically states that if you are firing someone based of their disability, you are not allowed to do that to put simply, and I discovered another thing through the specific website when it comes to work related breaks during work, but unfortunately that was after I was given a warning lol.


I'm about to be 30 years old in 6 days, and I will not allow some discriminatory morons to step over me like I am some kind of toy. They will face the consequences and will have to accommodate with it. If I was an extrovert, and was not afraid to talk back, I would have immediately mention the laws and show them these laws, and tell them "you do realize what kind of problems you may face if you fire me" - their whole thing was that, since you worked for us, you can get a work pretty much anywhere, which is understandable, but I'm living on my own, have two cats, and still have payment installments that will last another 3-4 years, but been getting rid of them slowly and not plan to take any new ones.
