How to Disable the Nexon Messenger

While not the Greatest thing, it would seem there is a need for this among other people. By Following these steps you will need to click the failed to Log-In popup when it shows in game until you replace the file.

    1. After making sure that you are not actively running Vindictus, Open your Start Menu, then click on Computer

    2. Double Click OS: C, then navigate through the Nexon Folder, and in to your Vindictus Folder, then open en-US.

    3. Locate your NMService within the en-US folder. This is the Application that allows those on your guild and friend list to see what you do as well as communicate.

    4. Remove the file from the folder, I personally drag it to my Desktop until I am finished with what I am doing.

    5. Proceed to do whatever actions you did not want those who have your contact information to see.

    6. Close Vindictus and replace NMService in your en-US Folder, this will reinstate any people on your Friends list, as well as the ability to use your Guild Chat, and Friend List Functions.

Your guild cannot see what you are doing... so all i do is i delete all my friends n most of my friends are in my guild.. so therefore by deleting em they wont no what you are up to .. but since ur guild chat works.. you can communicate with em.. i mean lets face it, it can be a lil lonely n boring without anything to do but grind..

Just rename instead of deleting or moving it, or even better, block it with firewall.

If you kill it, it just reappears several seconds later D:

Btw, the fail to log in gets annoying >.<

Since I don't like new threads, I'll just post this here.

How to do this without having to restart:

    1. with Vindictus running, open c:\nexon\vindictus\en-us
    2. rename "NMservice.exe" to something else
    3. open taskmanager (default shortcut ctrl+shift+esc for windows 7, ctrl+alt+del for XP)
    4. go to "processes" tab and find "NMservice.exe" (easy way to do this is just to press N after highlighting something)
    5. right click -> end process or press the button on bottom right

To start it again, just change the file name back to "NMservice.exe" and then run it, the game will automatically update after a minute or so.

Edit: to get rid of the annoying error messages after afking, just hold enter and wait till your chatbox shows a reaction.

While I can understand that, some people myself included like to go the extra mile, or have you ever had a time where you just want to chill and not hear anyone but play your toon?

    @LuminousArk

Yeah, I know it is not the most exciting thing ever, but I did not see a tut over it, and I wanted to make is more streamlined and try to reduce the number of posts about how to "hack without risk". I do not understand programming language, or how to make my own items, so I just try to contribute how I can.

Does anyone know how to disable NMService without that annoying message that comes every like 10 seconds?

    Another method for u guys:
_ U dont have to remove NMservice
_ Before crazy farming, delete your friends. Dont worry, they still have your name and just see u as "offline". After done your work, add them again, no need to re-accept, done
