Each Runescape Bot Client knows multiple (common) errors, most of them know a solution aswell.
We will be listing all solutions that are known here, they will be updated if necessary.
All Bot Clients will have an individual post with the complete FAQ in order to keep it organized.
First of all, you will be needing the latest Java Software (both JDK and JRE), make sure you have them updated.
Java JDK: Here
Java JRE: Here
And make sure nothing is blocking your Client!
(Your ISP, Router or Antivirus could be blocking your Client and/or Runescape)

RSBuddy gives me the error "Connection failed. Please try again later" when I attempt to login to the client.
- Try running RSBuddy with the 'Run Without Account' option, allowing RSBuddy to load and update. Then re-open RSBuddy and try to login once again.
- If this is unsuccessful, your connection is most likely being blocked by your firewall or anti-virus. It is best finding a guide elsewhere on the internet on how to rectify this, as each individual firewall or anti-virus may require a different procedure.
I get the error "Java is not recognized as an Internal or External command".
You either:
- You do not have Java installed. Do so here.
- You do not have your Environment Variables correctly set.
- How to guide: here
No matter how many times I click RSBuddy.jar, it won't open.
This is most likely an issue that has to do with Java.
- Begin by clearing your cache by deleting all the files located in "My Documents/RSBuddy/Cache/".
- Following this, verify your Java version here. If it is outdated then update.
- If your version of Java is verified but still causing you an issue uninstall Java. Re-install it here.
When trying to open RSBuddy I get an error telling me that the "Main Class could not be found", and the Client closes.
Follow this tutorial, and the problem should be rectified.
I have downloaded RSBuddy, but it opens with WinRAR/Winzip and not with Java.
Try this guide on how to install RSBuddy with Internet Explorer, as that appears to cause this problem often.
It's often a simple case of changing the file extension (the part after the ".") from ".zip" or ".rar" to ".jar".
This would result in the following change:
RSBuddy.zip or RSBuddy.rar -> RSBuddy.jar.
After doing so, right click the file and select "Open With..." or "Select Default Program". In the window that opens, select "Java(TM) Platform SE Binary". RSBuddy should now open as normal.

Some scripts have it others don't.

- Download this
- Now go to 'Start' → 'Computer' → 'Program Files' → 'Epicbot'
- Delete the epicbot.jar file in this folder (not the Epicbot application)
- Now copy and paste the epicbot.jar file that you downloaded to your desktop into the epicbot folder

Stuck at Checking for Updates 0%, Handshake Error and Connection Error or the Client messaging it's outdated.
This basically means the server is being updated, while this is happening do the following:
Exit and wait an hour or two and try again (if it doesn't work leave it, and try again later)
Any unrelated Java problem error
Uninstall and reinstall Epicbot
Downloading problems (Will not download, download failed)
If your download failed don't keep trying, instead, remove the ones you tried to download. Erase ALL History and Temporary Files. And make sure to use your default browser. If you have more than one browser it might have downloaded and you aren't checking the right place.
Note: Post errors and etc if you feel like it and solutions

In need of a good c++ book. (beginner) any suggestions?
Powerbot needs to be updated for some people. update before complaining
if your bot isn't working go to the website of the bot and check if the bot is up to date![]()
So when I use Rsbots.net's bot, they usually fail, but its because the RS game screen keep flashing like a strobe light and doesn't stay, so therefore I can't use the bots because the script cannot reflect the world, so it cannot be used. Anyone got any ideas how to fix this issue? Or shall i just stick to my free bots? :x Help if you can, will give thanks if you do. <3
Yes positive, that what I always play in.
EDIT: I fixed it, I guess it wasn't in safe mode. :P Also heres this to fix it.
If your RS screen is flickering/flashing while running in our bot client then you need to set RS graphics to run in safe mode. To set your RS game graphics into safe mode follow these simple instructions:
Start the Bot Client like normal, selecting which bot to run, world details, username credentials etc. Continue to the step when RS begins to load.
While the RS game is loading, quickly press and hold the "s" key on your keyboard for approximately 5 seconds. RS should now be running in safe mode.
After RS is done loading and you are in-game, confirm your RS graphics settings are as follows:
- Min
- Fixed screen width
