they only ban accounts not ip's
Hello. I've been playing from Europe for half a year, and the IP with which I connect changes constantly as proxies come on and go down. My account is completely legit and has never been hacked nor botted on.
It's come to my attention that a friend of mine is hardcore botting on a completely separate account, but is using an IP range (VPN) which my account sometimes also uses (I know of at least one situation where both my account and his bot used exactly the same IP).
Do any Europeans here have/know of a similar situation, perhaps where the same person is botting and playing legitly on two separate accounts that often (but not always) use the same IP? What happens when the bot inevitably gets banned? Is there something I can do to lessen the risk?
I've deleted the HShield logs, and as of now, I'm no longer using the IP range he does.

yep you wont get banned well no ip banned
Actually Nexon has a tendency to ban your main but leave your botting account untouched.
Has anyone ever even been banned off Vindictus? Just wondering because I've never personally been banned and I've botted 7 or so accounts to 65ish. .__.
This is the impression I got from reading these forums. The question then is what is their algorithm for associating mains with botting accounts.
If I were a company with the mindset of operating as cheaply as possible without losing tons of customers, I'd just do an IP match and ban the accounts associated with the offending IP. This is not an IP ban where a certain IP is no longer allowed to login, but rather using IP to determine which accounts belong to the same person, and banning those accounts.
An IP ban wouldn't even affect me. I have tons of other IPs can use. But if my account gets banned, and by some miracle they decide to read my ticket, I'll have a hard time explaining why I've logged in from 50 different IPs since I've started playing
Thanks everyone for your responses. Does anyone have any experience having their mains banned because of botting on the same IP?
