Torrent PS3 games?

Is it possible to torrent PS3 games? Reason I'm asking is that I've seen a lot of "PS3 Torrents" when searching for a normal PC torrent. And if you can, do I have to have a Blu ray disc and a BR burner?

Flashing is pretty much Jailbreaking your PS3, the torrents are only there for those with Jailbroken consoles to load onto there backup managers and play them from the hard drive.

The PlayStation 3 has yet to have a chipped developed for it as the discs use encryption methods that could change at anytime with firmware updates and every disc has a different encryption on it which is also know as the public keys.

Sony was a tight ass about jailbreaking and pretty much sued the development community for working on it.
