One thing to say: Some people NEED to believe in something. Religion, real or not (And it's not... Im not saying there isn't a higher power but anything given to man, worse yet translated countless times, like the bible, cannot be true) gives them this need.

Also, I never really understood Islamic ways but if it's true what I've been reading and your God allows you to end someone's life rather if that person has offended you rather than Himself doing it...
