Troof to what Disturbed said.
I actually thought Romney was going to in when it was very close about 45 minutes ago and then all of a sudden Obama takes Ohio and Florida.

The electoral college is not stupid... It gives small states more power so they aren't dominated by larger ones. It's saved this nation's ass for over a century.

I don't care who won, personally. I'm just stating an opinion as far as the Electoral College goes, and gave a fact that Romney did win based on majority.
He did, it's based on the Electoral College, which is based on states and population. If you win a state, you win all of the EC votes for that state. So even though more people techniqually wanted Romney for president, Obama got for EC votes.
Lol dumbest thing I've heard. If it was based on individual votes, the states wouldn't fucking matter.

I knew he will win, now I'm going to work on my fan site.
I shake my head in disbelief.
Was watching NY1, I'm glad he got re-elected and not Romney
The electoral college protects the identity of the states; just because Romney lost does not mean a successful and working system should be abolished. It keeps the larger states from dominating smaller ones. America is much of a federal system of states, and the electoral college protects that. Abraham Lincoln won with less than 40% of the popular vote, and look how that turned out. If you didn't know, Mexico uses a Popular vote system that you refer to. When things are close, it has displayed that the nation can erupt into extreme violence. I can also see how you would think it un-democratic, but you really need to look at both sides of the argument.

I played my game and went to watch TV, and when I turned it on, the first thing I saw was "Barack Obama; ELECTED - 44th President of United States".
It was magical.
