[NA] MCMXCIX's HFS Mods (based off of Pie's Easy Mode Mod)

I was using Pie's Easy Mode Mod and loved it. After reading tutorials, it seemed pretty easy to make my own HFS edits, so here's the fruits of my labor (so far).

What it is: modified HFS files (based on the ones @Pie made himself) that alter the game's code, making things easier for me (and now you guys).

How to use it: unzip the file, get rid of the underscores at the end of the 763...hfs and 564...hfs files, place them in your \Vindictus\en-US\HFS folder, and place the UpToDateInfo.dat in your \Vindictus\en-US folder.

What it does: everything that Pie's Easy Mode Mod does (see here: http://www.mpgh.net/forum/267-vindic...-mode-mod.html) plus:

• makes ice formations break in one hit

• makes potions heal for much more (I think the trainee one heals ~2500)

• changes Kai's Arrow Storm skill to have the same range as the bombs, making it destroy every mob that has been spawned and every object in that map (warning, lags the first one or two times per map, just like the bombs)

• lowers health of Hero mobs to what they would be regularly (I believe this works as I killed a Stoneskin Ice Kobold in one hit, but I may need to test more first)

• and more, but these are the only changes to my knowledge that actually worked

If it doesn't work or you have feedback, feel free to let me know. I have yet to be banned with this, but I don't spam battles, finish them early, or do anything too crazy. Like they always say during infomercials, your results may vary. Also feel free to edit them yourself and then if you have a sizable contribution to add, upload it on this site. Just be sure to credit both me and Pie.

The adding luck one sounds useful. Cant wait to try it out.

If you find some proof of it working, let me know. It's hard to test something that only lasts a couple minutes.

I actually totally forgot you can view how much you have in the character panel. I didn't get much sleep. (: I'll check once my cooldown is over in 16 minutes and update.

So how long will it last? for the whole 2mins duration? Did you get more cores from it too?

Yeah, the Luck was lost once I lost my transformation. And I have no way of knowing if it worked. The way Luck works is that, for every evil core that drops, you have a (Luck-100)% chance of getting a white core. So, while transformed, your chance to get an extra core for every evil core increase by 20%. Mathematically speaking, I could kill a boss and get 5 extra cores no matter what my luck is (so long as it's at least 101). The only way to actually know how it works is to transform numerous times and see if there's a statistical difference. Which I don't really feel like doing. The only way I can tell for sure is to make it so that my Luck becomes 200, but like I said in my original/edited post, I'm wary of doing so.

can you edit the pie mod? that just makes the enemy boss do 100 damage? and everything is normal?

I COULD, but so could you or anyone else, without having to use any pre-edited files. There's a bunch of tutorials on VZipFlip, HFSSign, and whatnot for people to read. Pie even mentions which hfs file affects bosses' atk and hp in the link I provided earlier.

That being said, I have actually thought about making a version of the HFS files to use in the Labyrinth so the Goddess Statues don't get pwnd. I'll think about making/uploading a version of mine that leaves boss HP alone but keeps everything else.

The luck bit piqued my interest, I wasn't even aware that trans affected luck at all. I have a bunch of characters with trans and 100 luck that I'll try this out with when it's approved.

It doesn't affect Luck, but it has a section where it lists how much of each stat is added once transformed. The Luck section is 0, and I decided to increase that.

Approval of what? He isn't the all-mighty hfs king.

Maybe if he created the HFS files themselves, I'd ask. But he didn't, he just modified them, and then I modified them again. I credited him multiple times.
