Here's the thing, yes. Yes, this should be thrown out*(again), and yes, this represents corporate entities trying to take more power. Abuse is obviously going to happen with this and be legal, so yes, this is incredibly, undeniably STUPID.
(also having this pass closed-doors? really? Just, really?).


But the military, government, and security forces don't need CISPA. They can pretty much already do this anyway. Problem is.......this is just going to lead to companies in the end.


What your looking at is:

1. About 90% of this will be used for anti-pirating or even browsing of pirating sites being made into court cases. This is just a way for failing companies to get more money for doing jack shit. Put out a shitty entertainment product and it doesn't sell? Sue those people who downloaded it to check it. As shown in the past, any entertainment item is can be sued for a thousand times its original worth or more.
2. About maybe 5% of this will be used for some bullshit ploy to prove this is for the people.
3. About 5% will be used to soft-monitor key-words like "bomb" or shit. Nothing useful.


Lets face it, we the people have no control over our legislature. Even the media won't touch this.

Only thing is, I think we have SOME control over our legislature, but it's fairly minimal. Hey, shouldn't stop us from trying though.

No it shouldn't, but its really just an illusion of control in the end. Government can do w/e they want behind-the-scenes, they are just trying to do it in the open for easier access to fucking over the people over.
