In advance Islam isn't a violent religion as a lot of people think .
To become a Muslim you must say :
'' اشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وأن محمدا رسول الله ''
This Means : I believe that no god but Allah and Mohamed is the messenger of Allah
You should believe all the messengers too
There are 5 prayers in one day (Fajr , Duhr , Asr , Maghrib , Esha ) You must pray them all .
If you don't know how to pray then Google it !
There is month in the Hijri date called Ramadan Muslims fast from food from Al Fajr prayer to Al Maghrib prayer in Egypt it would be from 5:30 AM to 7:00 PM it is getting change everyday in Ramadan because the prayers time gets changed .
There are two feasts for Muslims Eid Al Al Duha , Eid Al Fitr .
In Eid Al Duha every Muslim family Slaughter any animal like sheep (Eating Pigs isn't allowed for Muslims , Eating any animal which isn't Slaughtered isn't allowed also except the Fish ) and Charity it for poor people .
And Eid Al Fitr Is the 5 days after Ramadan Ends , These days be a celebrate days for Muslims .
Finally the Hijj You guys of course hear about the Hijj and if not you can Google it because it will take a very long time .
In Islam If you want to repent You can Ask Allah and you don't need to Monk to repent for you , If you want to know more about Islam you only have to Google that .
I would like to add more info about Islam but the time now is late in Egypt and I should go bed now .

That is a false statement. Both Sunni and Shia Muslims share the most fundamental Islamic beliefs
The difference is more on the political spectrum. It has nothing to do with not believing in the prophet Muhammad, that is nonsense.
The difference is that the Shiite believe that leadership should have been passed directly to Muhammad's cousin; Ali bin Abu Talib after the prophet died.
Whereas the Sunni went along with majority vote/popularity of said elected leader. That's where the conflict started.
