Can using a auto run program get you banned?

I developed a small program in c that double taps and holds down the w key when you press the set hotkey.

When I use this program with dayz the steam client service will access the file. I then can't make changes to the file without getting the "action can't be completed because the file is open in steam client service" error. I'm assuming this is VAC checking out the file.

Is this any way VAC would detect my program as a reason for a ban?
