I dont know if its still true, but you used to be able to basically tell people on games like COD "Hey, I can get you 10th prestige lobby for 400MP" then they could send it to you and you keep and block them. DONE. FREE.99

Well since they switched from "Microsoft points" to just $ on the Microsoft account, that part is irrelevant... but Bing rewards gives out "free" things 20 points per day on the search, and its 500 Bing rewards points for $5 Xbox digital card. also there's the beginning points and refer a friend stuff as well as other offers to get more points, still its a do things to get items but at least Bing is Microsoft, so you know know its legit (they're actually quite quick about distribution too)

Okay, so you want free microsoft money? Go to a store retailer, and ask for the card you want without being activated by register. Once you get the card go home. Scratch the stuff off so you can see the code. Go to xbox(dot)com and contact customer support. State something like, "Is this a scam?!?!?! I bought (value of card) today and when I go to redeem it, it says something like, "Trouble redeeming code". Get really convincing and they will send you a new code.
