MC Launcher does not show alternate Versions to MC native versions?

Yo!

So I've been using hacks for quiet some time in MC and I found it now most enjoyable for a while to live without them. But this must change!
Thus I went to get my beloved Nodus back (1.7.9) and pushed it into the versions folder in a "Nodus" folder.
Now I got a "1.7.9" and a "Nodus" sitting in there, nothing else (cleaned MC out).
Started MC, went happily into new profile, picked the directory but whoopdiwhoop, Nodus is not there?

Edit: I do have both the .jar and the .JSON file named "Nodus".

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I've installed other hacks successfully in the past (also in this funny version thing), but now it does not show "release Nodus".

Help?^^

The same thing has been happening to me! I would recommend using Sawary or Aeon.

So you think it's because of Nodus? I tried Huzuni, other Nodus versions, Kronos, Obsidian, Gemini^^ but okay I shall give it a go, thanks for the suggestion
