Damn dude is that before or after taxes?
There are no taxes because it isn't an "official" job. As in, I am not "officially" employed, so I don't get benefits or have to give my social security and whatever.
So far I only gave contact information and the pay is in cash.
I more or less got the job on the spot. There was a help wanted sign, so I went up, asked about it and he said he'd call me. He didn't call, so I went the next day and we discussed hours, blah blah and shook on it.
I got the job in more or less 2 minutes. No interview, no resume. My friend's been working there for a week or so and it's going well.
Nope. It's legit. They have multiple locations all over, and belong to a single entity (company), but each location operates on their own, as opposed to following corporate guideline. Similar to what Chick-fil-a does. Each establishment is free to govern themselves, but they technically belong to the company.
Atleast you got a job and not wasting your time on the computer!
Oh ya i do the same thing with my job but end up getting $8/h
Guess $7.50 is close enough to minimum wage after taxes
congrats on the job and enjoy the worst summer of you life
The money will be worth it.
You are getting fucked dude.
I work in restaurant and started up front making barely that. Talked to BOH Manager and he put me on the Line and I'm getting $15 an hour, making overtime every week. If you aren't in the back, thats where you need to be.
As for you getting paid under the table, I can assume its because you are like 13-14 and cant legally work under the corporate rules. Better hope no on finds out or you will be out of a job.

That pay is nothing, what exactly do you do?
I do extreme/not so bad labor for Contracting. Which generally pays well during the summer, as that's when I'm able to do big projects like roofs, sidings, porches, etc.
Exactly what I have done. ^
Had a business going with my home owners association cookie cutter neighborhood, and things started to slow down.
Had a fast food job for a year and a half, lost it around the same time too.
Was looking for 2 months before about 3 weeks ago, I had got a job at the strip right outside my neighborhood at a locally owned pc repair shop. It's me and the business owner, he rakes in the dough offering phone plans, all sorts of pc repair, console repair, phone and tablet repair (the latter few thanks to my volunteering). Before I knew it I have went from commission based pay to now hourly pay running the store almost as much or more than he does weekly, making $10 an hour before taxes, roughly 30 hours a week.
For an almost 20 year old kid with no degree yet, no experience in the field, working towards to my associates in computer science, I am grateful to already have a job in the field. It only adds to it to note how the business is growing, is only a mile and a half from home - walking distance. And it is has attracted attention to my car, while allowing me to do more to it <3
Just thought I'd share my experience and encourage others to keep striving and all that sort of stuff.
And while were here - for those of you not so tech savvy - I'd be happy to help ya tune up your pc sometime.
