I more or less got the job on the spot. There was a help wanted sign, so I went up, asked about it and he said he'd call me. He didn't call, so I went the next day and we discussed hours, blah blah and shook on it.
I got the job in more or less 2 minutes. No interview, no resume. My friend's been working there for a week or so and it's going well.

I work in restaurant and started up front making barely that. Talked to BOH Manager and he put me on the Line and I'm getting $15 an hour, making overtime every week. If you aren't in the back, thats where you need to be.
As for you getting paid under the table, I can assume its because you are like 13-14 and cant legally work under the corporate rules. Better hope no on finds out or you will be out of a job.

That pay is nothing, what exactly do you do?
I do extreme/not so bad labor for Contracting. Which generally pays well during the summer, as that's when I'm able to do big projects like roofs, sidings, porches, etc.
