You don't need the admins permission to revive it. You can do it every week (as psy and I did) until the admins feel like it's stable enough to give whoever is running it tags.

Exactly what Hannibal said, you don't need it to be official or anything. You could very easily run the News without the help of the admins, and why would you need permission? All you're going to be doing is posting a thread in general every week.

Contact the people that you want in the NewsFo, or make a thread here in general for recruiting members. It's not hard to do, and I'm sure that if you were to reach out to the old NewsFo members, most of them would be willing to give it another try.

The first thing I'd do would be to reach out to old News members and see if they're interested in joining up again. Then depending on how many people you get from that, make a thread in general or something and recruit new members.

It's an opinion that bringing back the newsfo would be useless.
It's a fact that nobody ever read the shit besides the interviews and that it truly was fucking awful after a while for many reasons.
You weren't in the newsfo, you don't know what it was like. Plain and simple.

We did -- freelancers. Not very useful when you only give them a day to write their articles.
Whenever someone wasn't going to turn in their shit, they were supposed to tell us ahead of time. Rarely did that happen, so it was all a big gamble most of the time.

I completely see your point, I just think that something is better than nothing. I hate seeing old posts on front page for weeks upon months. I think we have plenty active members who will be able to meet the needs of NewsFo.
