Okay, I'm just trying to help others that are saying you cannot edit CROSSFIRE game sounds. Not another game. There are a great many saying they cannot find the files. I show them their existence, but I will not baby-sit them through everything. I even give them a simple example of editing CROSSFIRE sounds, so obviously I know what I'm doing, because I've made results, yet you seem to insult me and talk down to me. I DO NOT have ANY experience in programming. I may not even fully understand the term "Server-Sided". Yet I grasp the concept. I can manage to find and edit CROSSFIRE files without needing a bypass, nor triggering hack detection/file change errors. Obviously I know a margin. This is the only reason why I'm here, I get questions on how to mod CROSSFIRE, I show them that the average computer user can manage. I give them tools.
I stated first that the sounds in CROSSFIRE are not server-sided because you can access them on your own computer to modify. Then you said I am absurd but also state yourself that "no game will ever server side a sound...". I would think the supra statements are similar.
"Even if it was server sided you could still change it!" I'm just helping others with simple rez modding, I don't care about server-sided files.
Those of you here from my videos; in summary:
1) I don't agree with hacking, but I also do not favor in restricting the modding community. You guys can create some incredible things!
2) You only need three tools: CFREZ Extractor. Marv's Injector. Audio editor.
3) No i'm not from Afghanistan...
Oh and about ghost breath being server sided: No, you CAN change it to whatever you want, as loud as you want...
