So how does vmprotect work, does it get safer and what should i do to be as secure as possible? Thanks
use vmprotect as far as i know the demo is fine and upgrading wouldnt help when using hacks also, dont quote me but vmprotect will make you safer against protection because It will run the hack inside a virtual machine.
hope this helped
Egnima I heard is better not feature wise but protection wise . Just saying
Hello,
vmprotect virtualizes the main function or .exe of a certain program. The goal for this is to obscure the normal code by "hiding" it behind the virtualized packer code.
If u are able to bypass the code of the program itself, u are able to obtain the source code of the hack or whatever program u try to hide also.
Reasons u probably won´t use that kind of stuff:
Will make the target slower!
Using that kind of software "proper" is kind of difficult (even with that fancy userinterface)
These kind of software (and so their fingerprints) are commonly known. So even if u virtualize your software a vast amount of
antivir-programs are realizing your are using a virtualization software.
As far is I can remember, there was only a really good example on hiding a Trojan with that kind of stuff programmed by a dude which released a white paper about
his work (actually it´s not that detailed at all, he just explains the commong approach of his work). Maybe the explanation there makes it even more clear.
Can´t post the link so u have to search for : Nicolas Falliere, symantec, Inside the Jaws of Trojan.Clampi
