Banwave or New Anti-Cheat System
So share your thoughts on the recent bannings in GTA V PC ONLINE

Is this just a new ban wave that will pass over time, or is this the new anti-cheat system in action meaning online mods are done for until someone finds a way to bypass it if its even possible.
I think its a new anti-cheat system but about money, because a noob gave me money and i'm at badsport i appealed it (it WAS permanent) now they end this 27th/08/2015 lol
It's so easy to detect, but Rockstar didn't give a shit until now. It wouldn't be so hard to scan your GTA V folder everytime you launch the game to see if there are files that shouldn't be there or are matching with some MD5 blacklist related to mod menus files.

But obviously, the transaction system has a lot more of security and checking stuff.

Well i heard alot of people say gta v pc online is dead right now, it could be just a way for rockstar to earn some money in a short period by banning all the modders in a week making some have to rebuy the game to make up for rockstar sharkcards not being sold enough....

But never the less it looks like a new anti cheating system.
it could be they did implement a anti cheat sys into the game

They said they implemented it 2 months ago already why active it now? i think they could of been doing this for the last 2 months what made them change their minds.

Im also hearing rumours its about the FiveM multiplayer service and they wont stop banning people until the service is taken down or something.
I have no club why the sudden change of heart if that's the case. Also I bet BBB is gonna have a field day with gtav for banning ppl for picking up cash they starting banning for that shit too.

also someone should make a menu with one function loggin use it alot and see if they get banned. we can start narrowing down the possibility of it being the bases, the scripthook, or certain functions or we need a new bypass method or find the bypass address.

someone dump the game and everyone can dig in xD
I'm pretty sure they are now just logging IP's or HWID's of all the modders they ban, so when the modder hops on a new alt they can ban them on that account too almost immediately. This seems to be their first step taken against cash drop services and recovery services. Their motive behind this is obviously to increase shark card sales and game sales.

I think R* finally realized ban waves are ineffective and they are just going to start banning people as soon as their name gets listed as a cheater, instead of waiting for a set date like they used to.
Well, don't take my word for it, but the upcoming maintenance is probably the final nail on the head.

This can mean many things, such as fully pushing out that new anti-cheating/modding system, or a huge clean swiping of illegal modded money and everything else.

Either way, whatever they do, is working, and Monday is looking like a thunderstorm to possible come and sweep the entire floor.

Yeah noticed the maintenance too when i started playing on my alt, pretty sure its related in some way.

This might however also just be related to the FiveM stuff as rockstar said they were trying to fully block the FiveM feature, maybe this is just their way of fully blocking the service / banning people using it until they fixed it. And ofcourse they dont mind the big ass sweep thats probally paying out already with game re-sells.

2(3) birds 1 stone ?
Maybe Rockstar won't ban me because in earlier naive days I bought a pile of shark cards.

No, they will just ban you and laugh harder. C'mon this is R* you're talking about.
Decided to take this for a spin, and see the result:

Went on my main which i haven't used since my first ban got lifted, today went into a solo session with a mod menu after more then a month of using one. (like i said, got banned before, and did not use any mods after my ban untill now)

The result is simple, because nobody of my friends were online, and me being in a solo session, there is no way that somebody could of have recorded me or reported me, which leaves the first option rockstar mentions open: Accounts can become flagged as a result of automated statistic triggers.

There you have it, my main account got banned in a little over 2 hours time for 1 month, didn't go in a public session, nor were any of my friends online.

Rockstar has vastly improved their auto-trigger system.

Faulty test. Many have said that 1.) Rockstar keeps a close eye on accounts that have already been banned before, so yours may have already been under watch. And 2.) Rockstar keeps track of IPs that have been banned before, so even if you are on a different account that has never been banned, you're still under watch if you are coming from an IP that has been banned before.
Got banned after someone gave me 1 mill.
I deposited it all in one go.
Oops.
Oh and I had n-menu and endeavor idle.
