Is Silver REALLY hell?

There were some tests done on the csgo reddit where a guy had two accounts. One he ranked out of silver in very few games, simply by top fragging. The other account lost a load of games really badly, then won the same amount of games as the other one and it only got to silver 2 I think. I think the conclusion was that you have to top frag consistently most games to actually get out of silver. That's not really possible for a real silver player, hence "silver hell"

If you play in the silver elo then you will see a lot of germans . If you didn´t know the german community is rotten as hell . It is full of hacker , children and bibanator fanboy´s ( he insults everyone who he meets as hacker if he loses ) . So have fun

From my experience in Silver (A LONG fucking time compared to most), it was hell. New accounts are easier to rank up because of elo. Without any game sense, I was trash. The worst. I got placed S1. Took me months to get out of silver. By the time I actually committed to it, my elo was so shit that it took forever to rank up. To get from S3-GN1 I had to win about 30 games in a row. At this point I had so many games played, that it took me THAT long. Now, I have bought a smurf and when I try, I can rank up almost every game. Now of course I have about 1k hours dedicated to the competitive aspects and about 600 to bhopping, but elo definitely effects it. Now I'm DMG, so if you think this is biased, think again.

I just want you to recognize that is pretty much the definition of bias.

Also, being DMG doesn't change that it's bias. It just shows you've improved. It doesn't mean you don't hold resentment for the time you were silver.

I've never been in silver, placed at GN3 and easily improved to GNM in 3 games. But, I have friends who are SEM, Silver 3 and another GN3 who deranked to GN2. They're the definition of silver. Crosshairs on the ground, in the sky, no recoil compensation, no spray control, no gamesense. Slow cognitive abilities.... it's just bad. So if you throw 3-4 of those people on a team with maybe one person who's trying to improve and is already decent at the game, it'll make the game that much more deplorable for that team.

I never had a problem ranking or deranking in the game. Getting to global is hard as the amount of "legit" players is very small. Getting to DMG is quite easy nowadays. I would say it exists because of the elo build up makes it harder to rank up.
