Did you see this tutorial? It seems a good checklist to follow. Of course, if you have no programming skills it's much harder to understand what you see. It's not something that can be made by an amateur, I guess.
For a step by step example I found, still a short video that takes for granted that you have at least minimal programming knowledge.
