It's hard indeed. To get in silver you have to play a shitton of matches. Just look after some matches where you are playing against.

Easiest during the first 10 wins.

Contribute nothing to the team:
Don't make calls.
Don't call strats.
Don't use smokes or tactics.
Force up all the time.
Miss all your shots.
Let teammates plant and defuse.

Do not try for even a single game, as it can drastically boost your rating.

Eventually you will get carried to 10 wins, and with no mvp stars at all, your ELO will be low as fuck.

i just feel like it would take forever just to get those 10 wins..

Have you ever carried your team, and then looked to the bottom of the scoreboard, and realized that half your team did absolutely nothing?
Be one of those guys that does absolutely nothing, getting the 10 wins is actually easier than it seems. Once again though, don't try to rush it, don't *try* to get the 10 wins. They will come eventually.
