[IDEA]Editing HSheild

So, i was looking around my computer and i found a program called
"Resource Hacker"
So i got a idea, what if we edited a OLD HSheild and told it the version was the most recent one,would this make a bypass?

I have a feeling that it would just update to the new one but who am I to talk I only have a vivid understanding of these things (I'm a PC Hardware Person, I don't do software)
