Site DOS help

Implying that I don't know anything about programming and just a few things about various hacking tools, I would like to know how to DOS a site till I pratically destroy it (obviously only if it's possible) and what kind of tools are needed to do this (if possible, I'd appreciate if you name them if you know any public/leaked one).
