Help with GTA!

Hey guys,
I finally bought gtaV but im having a problem.
It runs fine, 60 FPS but all of a sudden it randomly crashes.
Then i have to restart!! Please help me.

Happens everytime i play and its SO annoying!

CPU: 5th Generation Intel® CoreTM i7-5700HQ Quad Core Processor, 2.7-3.5 GHz
GPU: nVIDIA® GeForceTM GTX 970M 192bit w/ 3GB GDDR5
RAM: 16GB 1600MHz DDR3L, Hard Drive: 1TB 7200RPM HDD, Optical Drive: DVD+-RW
DISPLAY: 17.3" Full HD (1920 x 1080) Antiglare, OS: Windows 10 Home 64 bit

Sounds like you used a crack.. did you? If not, try playing around with your graphics settings. Even if your graphics card has 3 GB memory itself, maybe it - at some point - loads more than it can hold?

try and checking for windows updates and update everything you are missing if you are missing anything. also you can see if your firewall is closing the game.

I'm using a legit steam version, i would have thought my card could handle GTA. it runs fine 60fps until it just freezes for 1 min and forces me to restart

Sounds exactly like an overload.

Just try reducing the settings a bit.. Something random happens and puts the last drop into
an already overfilled barrel.

Which settings should i reduce to not effect the game as much? I'm using the GeForce experience recommended settings at the moment.

Texture Quality or something .. since you've got a powerful rig, a little should do... Maybe reduce the population variety too.
