DLL Becomes Uninjectabled
Hello,

So I have been working on a hack DLL and this problem fucks me every time when working with a dll. I will just be adding features to my DLL and then compile and test it with extreme injector v3 then all of the sudden it will crash extreme injector. After this has happened I can revert the latest changes and it still continues to crash the injector. Only stripping it down to just the dllmain will allow it to be injected.
What are you doing in DllMain? (show your code)
I don't have anything but the current working state of the DLL. Got pissed and deleted it all to start over. If someone can explain what might cause this it will help me avoid it for the future.

Because you didn't post any code I can only assume what happened.

- Did you Deadlock the Entry point thread?
this may very well be the cause, as Extreme Injector waits for the Entry point thread to exit (based on the exit code it says Succesful/Failed.

By deadlocking I mean something similiar to this...

Code:
BOOL WINAPI DllMain(HINSTANCE hinstDLL, DWORD     fdwReason, LPVOID    lpvReserved );
{
   DoHackStuff(); // Maybe this has a while loop or similiar to be constantly updating
   return true;
}
What you should do:
Code:
BOOL WINAPI DllMain(HINSTANCE hinstDLL, DWORD     fdwReason, LPVOID    lpvReserved );
{
   // You can also use std::thread.
   Yami::YThread thread(DoHackStuff); // Start a thread instead.
   return true;
}

And of course, you should try another DLL injector, just to see if its actually the DLL's fault!

If you were doing it correctly, I'm not 100% sure what you did wrong!

Good luck

EDIT:
I just read Master's Extreme injector thread, if you were starting a thread do this:

Code:
please right-click on the DLL you are injecting > Properties > Unblock > OK or use Manual Map injection.
What would happen is when I browsed for the dll and selected it, it would crash without even selecting inject yet. With other injectors it will just fail.

Maybe your Compiler was bugged and left the file open (preventing other processes to open read/write to the file), if not handled properly it will crash the application.
I wish, I had tried restarting my pc and all but nothing would work.
He was using a version of extreme injector that was incompatiable with his OS!

Solved.
