Is this true ?
I've read from somewhere awhile ago and it's got me thinking for a really long time but I've never paid much attention to it till now . I logged into my main account today and I saw something that utterly broke me . Permanently untrusted . couple hundred bucks gone right there and I have to come up with an excuse/explanation to my friends . Back to the what I'm trying to say , I've read that downloading/using hacks leaves some sort of 'residue' on your csgo or computer that will get you banned sooner or later even if I no longer use it . So is this true ?

I don't think so because I have used hacks for a long time and the only reason I have been banned is by over watch, not even vac just by over watch, but still that is something to think about even though I don't think valve says anything about that, and the only reason it would say that your account is not trusted is probably because vac already had detected your hack before. hope I helped you.

OVERWATCH IS NOT UNTRUSTED.

@OP Just tell them you were cheating on a singeplayer game with a Cheat Engine trainer and you forgot to close it before opening CS:GO.

Nope, that won't work if you run CS;GO with Cheat Engine on. Read more about that here. https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...2117-ilzv-2837ⓘ
You must have of done something for that to happen, if you was running an exe hack, sometimes they are still running when you close them and they can still modify the game even if you can't toggle hacks etc. if I was you. in the future make sure you go on task manager and close the hack exe on there if it stills open, not sure if this is the cause, but I guess its possible. I think.
This happened to me too, a while back. I was hacking on an alternate account and got banned with the message "This account is permanently untrusted," when I logged on to my main, the same message showed up and I didn't hack at all on my main account. I suggest deleting all of the user data saved on the previously VAC'd accounts and delete everything related to hacking, and then try again. The "permanently untrusted" message is probably from the game detecting hacks on your computer. After deleting all of the traces of the hack and the userdata with the "permanently untrusted" ban or VAC ban, everything was back to normal lol.
To be straight to the point, you've been using a detected hack.
untrusted = detected features of a hack were used in official Valve servers.

Overwatched = you were reported by other players in Valve servers and got voted as cheater by the overwatch system.
Thanks everyone for your replies and suggestions . I guess I wasn't smart enough then or I was using a detected hack . Thanks everyone

I haven't used that kind of hacks which need to be injected in CSGO or any kind of Poly hacks but some time ago I saw a post from one user that if you want to get rid of all the hack files left in your computer you should just run CCleaner and you should be fine.

Also did you delete the .zip and .rar files which you downloaded from here and later extracted to get the hack files?

Feel bad for ya... It happens...
