How will humanity's time on this planet end?

I'm pretty sure the Sun won't die any time soon.

But like, how do you think we will die/leave this planet? And for what reason? No food? Overpopulation? No energy?

I'm interested to know your opinions

Humanity will most likely always be on Earth (at least in some form of settlement, whether it be a Star command base, a ground for energy reactors etc.) A lack of resources to sustain a total population would be the first reason why we would leave in the first place, but the resources here are already enough to sustain 10's of billions of more people. Once our population exceeds that however, I'd wager a guess that we'd split into two sort of groups: those that stay here, and those that choose to settle elsewhere. We're very early on in our total development as a species, and a Moon or Mars colony would probably be our first real ventures in working that idea. Past that into the future though, Earth may yet become a remnant of the past, a forgotten relic, like many old English villages that still operate today; quaint and outdated, but still there to look back from where we've come.

I like the send people to mars and inhabit the place suggestion. They would need to send some robots and metal that has a automatic cooling system so the suns heat will not burn through the metal. Create a giant glass patch and start filling it with oxygen and create a green house for plants. Supply salt water from our ocean: 1) helps decrease the rising of our ocean water. 2) may or may not create clouds due to precipitation through the water cycle.

From what I've been reading over the years combined with my own thoughts.

There are plenty of ways we could dissappear. The era of people is just such a tiny friction of the life span of the earth.

Natural causes:
Natural causes are very plausible. It's been proven in history that certain events can end an entire ecosystem. There are a few possibilities here of course.

- A meteorite, just like (what probably happened) by the dinosaurs this could cause the end of humanity. The huge impact combined with splitering of rock could mean the end for us as we know it.

- super vulcano. If the entirety of yellow stone park were to errupt I think there's a very low chance of survival. Not only will the entie air become poisonous, there will be an adh cloud that will cover the entire earth. Meaning no sunlight for a very long time (which you all know is vital for (almost) any form of life on earth direct or indirect.

- Dissappearance of the moon, the moon is slowly creating more disstance with the earth. Chances are it will eventually due to gravitation of other masses abruptly leave earth. It will cause a lot of chaos.

Humans:
I honestly believe this to be the most probably reason for people to dissappear from earth. We tend to keep making more and more complicated problems for ourselves. Since we all tend to mostly think about ourselves and those close around us makes it very complicated to solve issues like that easily.

- overpopulation is a viable one. When overpopulatipn comes there is a good chance (combined with global warming) that fresh clean water will get more and more scarce. When people get in a state of primal survival state. War will become inevitable. Since we all know that all the weapons in the world could destroy the earth over 70 times if not more this could very well be end.

- global warming causing certain natural disasters that we don't yet know much about.

- any other form of war.

Other things such as supernova from the sun or intersection with another galaxy will happen but too far in the future.

We imbalance the world and its evolution system in many ways.

Besides natural causes, I believe it's more likely that we'll be the cause of our own demise.

Pretty much what Sir Sam said, we cause too many imbalances. We'll either end up killing of a key species needed for our survival, such as bees, or through nuclear and biological warfare in my opinion.

Natural causes or the destruction of key animals and nature.
Or maybe we'll get into WW3 and wipe every human off the face of the planet.

I think we would die most likely of Overpopulation and World Hunger, but I know an easy fix for that 5 years and World Hunder and Overpopulation is gonna end through CANNIBALISM

We are going to be our own doom. No asteroids or some shit.

I think it's more likely a human disaster will unveil itself than any natural one in the near future.
