What are you even talking about?
As soon as you play MM you are connected to VAC. If you weren't, how could they see if you are cheating?
Also, when there are problems with your client and the server, you will get kicked for multiple reasons, these could be:
- your connection to the matchmaking server is not reliable
- or something in the lines of VAC authenticator isn't working (please correct me if i'm wrong)
There is no way you can abandon a competitive match without getting a cooldown, except for getting kicked (at least i think so) or leaving after you gained your XP.
There is no way to not be connected to the VAC services AND playing on a VAC secured server. If you want to play without VAC, type in -insecure in your startup settings. However, from that point on you are unable to play on VAC secured servers.
