Did you try to connect with another device?
If not try to reinstall Skype
check your internet make sure your firewall isnt blocking it
The new version of Skype is associated with 'Internet Explorer' and doesn’t work on Internet Explorer 6 or lower. It only works with IE 7 or higher. What's the version of your IE? Make sure it's up-to-date.
