BloodFrontier?

Would anyone be interested in tutorials on how to hack this Cube2 total conversion mod?
The installer is 400MB in size(download here)
The sourcecode is in the installer

This time I'll reverse the game instead of recompiling(so I won't be using the sourcecode), still downloading the game atm, will have a look into the source later.

Current goals:

Find render functions
Acces to the player list
Find trace functions

Red = < 33% done
Orange = 33-66% done
Yellow = 66-99% done
Green = 100% done

Hmm maybe i'm more of a d3d person yeah

Yeah go for it.

But I like the cube engine, so don't fuck with it too hard.

As soon as my nubby cousins quit taking up all the connection i'll download it and see what's up. =D BTW I heard that you're a youngin! And i'm older than you, and that I should rub in that I am in fact, older than you.

I'm 17, turning 18 in october, so I'm not exactly 'young'. and even if I would be young(as in 10-12 or somethin) wouldn't it then be pretty sad that you'd be getting owned by an 11y/o at programming?

Yeah I know right? And i'm a full year older than you! I turn 19 Oct 25th. But yeah it doesn't say much for me that some of you guys (younger than me) can code. Like you for example, writing hacks for games and shit. WTF. >_> AND YOU DAVID! Telling me you're trying to hook, and I'm working up a lecture in my head, "Look, being a hooker isn't what you want in life"

Yep it's all crap nowadays. Too many youngsters here lol, if we are going to brag about our age I would like to include the fact that I turned 19 about 2 weeks ago so I'm older than both of you

If BA wasn't so busy in his godly life all the time he could post here about how he pwns all of us. xD I wish I could start my story 20 years ago, but I wasn't quite born yet.

EDIT! I downloaded and installed the game. Seems alright, haven't played online yet. o_O But you really intend to reverse the game to find the functions? I have no clue where to start on that, but I wish you luck. xD And you're right! It isn't sporting fun to just edit / recompile their source code. Even -I- found the render functions, flag spawn function, PLAYER SPAWN functions, etc.(Not that I know what to do with them, I don't. XD) I didn't find anything like playerlist or trace though. You'll probably have alot better luck than me.

Hack tutorials would be cool. Since I'm a complete beginner when it comes to editing memory and pretty much anything related to game hacking.

Hmm I'm Kinda young, turning 16 in about a month. But I'm in the same grade level as David. I really wish I started programming earlier, maybe like 3 years ago. I feel like I was wasting time doing nothing before I started programming (about 6 months ago). >_<
