What kind of AI did you use? (Neural networks, Fuzzy Systems, etc)

What language did you write it in?

Any tips/tricks?

I'll start;

I'm planning on using it for a few projects,
I want to make a stock-market prediction AI (using whatever data is avalible, or using history of said stock)
I would also like to make some recognition AI, but I'm still thinking on the whole idea.

I want to write this in C# (as I know it best) and I'm currently looking into the AForge.NET Framework.
