Checking the program version of CSGO

So in my new cheat I want to be able to check the program version of CS:GO, obviously because if it has been updated offsets will change and there will be those people that try to use it and get banned for it.

I want it to check the version of it, maybe the exe or through Steam I am not sure how to do this. And then compare it to the version my program has in the code so it will not launch any threads for the hack until it has been checked.

I have also came across the issue with how can I check which drive the program is in? If someone has an external SSD for example with the Steam folder in, how can I check for this. Will I have to check through every single drive letter from A-Z.

There are multiple places where the BuildID is stored, however there isn't a simple single level pointer to get the BuildID.

However i don't know if they will work since i can't test it on multiple machines, they could also just replicate the SteamLibrary or anything else.

Test them on your computer, if they spit out 1157285, they are correct and working.

Regarding your second question, you could either check the directory the csgo.exe is in by checking the szExePath member of the MODULEENTRY32 struct or you can check engine.dll + 7ED3B0, which is a string which points to the directory of CSGO. It will be something like this: "G:/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Counter-Strike Global Offensive/csgo/". It's a char array of 255 characters.
